Topic :Domestic violence and sexual assault are often connected. They are pervasive, life-threatening crimes affecting millions of individuals across our nation regardless of age, gender, economic status, race, religion, or education level.

More than 1 in 3 women have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.

1 in 7 men have experienced physical violence by an intimate partner.1 in 6 men are sexually assaulted.

Victims of rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner experience effects such as fear, concern for their safety, need for medical care, injuries, need for housing services, and missing work or school.
